The Association “AGAPI” was founded in 1989 by parents, guardians and friends of children with disabilities (mental disabilities and mild disabilities) initiative and assumed the continuation of the “Training Program for Children with Special Needs”, the local XEN (Christian Union of Gils) used to operate informally on a voluntary basis in Rethymno, since 1984. The program was called “Day Care, Education and Vocational Training Unit for Disabled people”.
In May 2015 the “RESIDENTIAL – DAY CARE CENTER” for people with disabilities ”AGAPI” was established.
